Day to day as a Production operator

Are you the Production operator we're looking for?

To excel as a Cable Harness Assembler at Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing, a unique set of skills and competencies is essential. Mastering the ability to read and follow intricate production processes and instructions is paramount, as is the capability to lift production kits and wire bundles efficiently. Proficiency in cutting, stripping, crimping, and assembling materials using a variety of tooling-including hand tools and pneumatic devices-will be crucial in delivering high-quality results.

A solid understanding of safety protocols, personal protective devices, and proper handling and disposal of chemicals used in production processes is required to maintain a safe work environment. Additionally, familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and a commitment to continuous process improvements are vital for driving efficiency and innovation within our aerospace-focused team.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Read and follow production processes and instructions.
  • Lifts production kits
  • wire bundles and/or wire and moves to appropriate destination as designated by the
  • process steps.
  • Cuts
  • strips
  • crimp
  • or otherwise assemble the materials using required tooling.
  • Required tooling may be hand tools
  • pneumatic hand or foot operated tooling or other automated
  • devices.
  • Read and understand information relating to usage
  • personal protective devices
  • safe labeling
  • proper
  • handling and proper disposal of any chemical used in the production process being performed.
  • Participates and demonstrates understanding of Lean Manufacturing and the importance of process
  • improvements
