Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a Contract with a client in Dickinson, ND
. You will be for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop hardware and software while providing timely technical support to end-users.
Rate Range: Entry Level (1–2 years): $21–$25/hour and Experienced (4+ years): $26–$31/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals to ensure smooth IT operations.
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests via phone, email, or in person, providing timely assistance to end-users.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, networking, and software issues, including Windows OS and common desktop applications.
- Perform system upgrades and patches to maintain security and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system reliability and provide on-call support as required.
- Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Entry Level: 1–2 years in desktop support or IT helpdesk.
- Experienced: 4+ years in similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop applications.
- Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
