Pediatric Physical Therapist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in assessing, diagnosing, and treating infants, children, and adolescents with physical disabilities, developmental delays, or injuries. The therapist will develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and overall functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

-Evaluate and assess pediatric patients with movement disorders, injuries, or developmental challenges.
-Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance motor skills, coordination, and mobility.
-Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and specialized equipment to support patient progress.
-Educate and collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
-Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document evaluations and therapy sessions.
-Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance a child's mobility and independence.
-Stay up to date with the latest pediatric physical therapy techniques, research, and best practices.

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program

State licensure to practice physical therapy

Certification in pediatric physical therapy (optional but preferred)

Clinical experience in pediatric settings, such as hospitals, clinics, or schools

Internships or residency programs focusing on pediatric care

Strong understanding of child development and pediatric anatomy

Ability to assess and evaluate physical conditions in children

Proficient in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans

Excellent communication skills for interaction with children and their families

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Patience and empathy when working with children

Strong problem-solving skills

Adaptability to work with diverse populations and varying needs

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with pediatric therapy practices

Participation in workshops, seminars, and relevant certifications
