Senior Accountant – Construction / Project Accounting

Though we’re well known and trusted throughout North Dakota and Montana, we have the willingness and ability to assemble a first-rate team for electrical projects in nearly any US city.

From start to finish, we’re trusted partner through planning, design, ordering, inventory, financial, and safety management. We keep our nose to the grindstone until all the project goals and objectives are complete.

• Support the month-end and year-end close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Maintain daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare job cost reports and support project accounting for operations and project management teams
• Assist with payroll processing, review, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for Controller review
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support audits, tax filings, and external reporting requests
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with system enhancements
• Perform special projects assigned in support of business growth and operational improvement

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Construction, job cost, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and payroll fundamentals
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting / ERP systems
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• CPA or CPA-track a plus
