Role Overview

The MFG Systems Implementations Engineer I is responsible for collaborating with internal departments & external vendors to assist in commissioning manufacturing technologies throughout the Niagara network. It involves on‑site coordination of activities, status reporting, asset procurement, system training & troubleshooting, and providing system support.

Essential Functions
  • Support commissioning of systems working with our internal/external stakeholders onsite and plant management teams.
  • Train all end users, including super users, on functionality and process changes related to new manufacturing technologies.
  • Document requirements, process flows, new functionality, and create SOP/training materials while maintaining all materials in a central repository.
  • Work with business to understand and document system requirements, test integrations within applications, and update UAT scenarios to deliver and support business needs.
  • Troubleshoot daily operational system issues to define root causes and collaborate with business partners to create temporary/permanent solutions.
  • Take direction, learn processes/systems quickly, and apply to deliver results based on timelines.
  • Recognize potential problems with existing equipment and develop solutions across engineering designs, applications, and process criteria.
  • Create dashboards and reports presenting production data to plant staff and management.
  • Perform data analysis using software tools to model and develop new manufacturing opportunities.
  • Work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment collaboratively with a cross‑functional team and manage project implementations.
  • Organize, schedule, and run meetings to coordinate on‑site commissionings, identify opportunities and system needs.
  • Interact with multiple departments including IT, Planning, Logistics, Plant Production Teams, and external vendors.
  • Document meeting minutes, action items, issues, and risks.
  • Plan, track, elevate, and deliver upon tasks and timelines assigned.
  • Available for 24/7 support (scheduled and off hours).
  • Excellent problem‑solving and focus on multiple driving factors and requirements.
  • Monitor process, technology, and provide insights into overall status.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, and ability to interact at various levels including Plant Directors.
  • High Domestic Traveling Role: 75%+.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with technology such as MES/LMS/CMMS.
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience managing people/projects.

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with technology such as MES/LMS/CMMS.

Education Minimum Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
