Position: Management Accountant (Part-Time)

Management Accountant (Part Time) – AW Lumb & Co Ltd

Dewsbury

AW Lumb & Co is seeking a qualified Management Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join our finance team in Dewsbury. This is a part‑time role working 30 hours per week, with flexibility over how the hours are arranged. The position also offers a clear route to full‑time in the future, including the opportunity to progress to a Financial Controller’s position.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare management accounts, financial statements and supporting analysis
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and correct variances
  • Produce sales and margin analysis for the commercial team
  • Support the purchase ledger and credit control teams when required
  • Provide accurate financial information to non‑financial managers
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems
  • Support general financial operations in a busy, hands‑on environment
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant – ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Confident using financial systems and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
