The Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing quality inspection activities, ensuring compliance with established quality and process standards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This role conducts inspections, initiates non‑conforming material reports, performs internal process and record audits, and provides guidance to production teams to ensure products meet all required specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure employees follow proper production methods and that equipment is operating correctly to meet quality requirements.
  • Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding any product that is out of specification or identified as defective.
  • Implement corrective actions when defects are identified and coordinate tooling replacement when necessary.
  • Perform inspections and document findings for incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, customer service, and production personnel.
  • Ensure all instructions, records, equipment, samples, and related documentation for inspection, testing, and auditing are properly maintained.
  • Assist in developing and improving inspection processes, procedures, and techniques.
  • Provide supervisors with the necessary information, guidance, and materials to ensure operators consistently produce quality products.
  • Develop and update work instructions as required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all quality-related information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED required, associate degree in a technical field preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or quality control preferred.
    • Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
    • Proficiency with computers and standard software applications (spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft Word, and Outlook).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
