Bluebell Unit offers a place of safety to adults and children brought in by police under Sections 135 or 136 of the Mental Health Act.
Communication plays a vital part in this role, and you will develop close links with multi‑agency services throughout BSW, such as AMHP teams, safeguarding, street triage, on‑call consultants, and police.
Bluebell Unit offers a unique opportunity to dual work within Poppy Unit, a 20‑bedded acute inpatient unit, as well as the Place of Safety, ensuring a full and diverse career.
As a Band 6 Nurse, you will be expected to co‑ordinate shifts, risk assess, demonstrate clinical leadership, and implement Quality Improvement projects, as well as act up into the Band 7 role in the absence of a Band
7. Skilled management and clinical work within Bluebell can be highly rewarding. You will receive regular supervision within the team.
