EM&I Technician

Are you an electrically or mechanically qualified technician? Do you enjoy working outdoors? If so, we are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and a flexible approach to join our close-knit team of skilled technicians.

Renowned for the quality of its work, the EM&I team provides a 24/7, 365 days a year operation and ensures that the operation and maintenance of water recycling centre's across Wiltshire & Somerset.

Day-to-day in this role you will:

• Complete plan preventative maintenance
• Attend breakdowns using fault finding skills and report on asset condition
• Make modifications to control philosophy where needed
• Manage personal stock and critical spares
• Cover out-of-hours call-outs as part of a standby rota.

You will be an experienced technician who is self-motivated and can work with minimal direct supervision.

You will need:

• City & Guilds, Btech or NVQ level 3 or above
• experience working with three phase power and control circuits
• fault finding skills
• experience of mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance
• a full clean driving licence
• computer literacy
• Desirable; PLC programming and fault diagnosis experience
• Desirable; experience working within the water industry
• to be flexible in your work patterns to meet the demands of the team.
