An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electronics Test Technician to join our client’s team in Devizes.
Electronics Test Technician

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on electronic and electromechanical assemblies to component level, often without full circuit diagrams or technical documentation
 
* Perform detailed repairs on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies, restoring units to full operational condition
 
* Confidently use soldering and rework equipment, working with both surface-mount and through-hole technologies
 
* Read and interpret circuit diagrams where available; where documentation is limited, analyse circuitry directly to determine function and faults
 
* Operate standard electronic test equipment competently, and adapt to additional or unfamiliar equipment as required
 
* Manage multiple repair tasks efficiently, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
 
* Conduct thorough testing of repaired units to ensure reliability and performance standards are met
 
* Maintain clear and accurate records of diagnostics, repairs carried out, and components used
Electronics Test Technician Ideal Candidate:
 
* A relevant electronics qualification is advantageous; however, proven hands-on experience in component-level fault finding and repair is more important
 
* Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit operation
 
* Demonstrable experience diagnosing faults at component level
 
* Able to work independently, using initiative and problem-solving skills
 
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Working Hours:

* Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)
 
* Company pension
