Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate and professional nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and facility regulations. The LPN works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to promote resident health, comfort, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care including administering medications, treatments, and monitoring resident conditions.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and updating resident care plans.
- Document care accurately and timely in medical records and electronic systems.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report to RN or physician.
- Provide education and emotional support to residents and their families.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Supervise and assist Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in daily resident care activities.
- Participate in shift reports, team meetings, and in-service training sessions.
- Uphold Eventide's mission, values, and standards of care.
- Current LPN license in the state of North Dakota.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Prior experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide leadership to CNAs.
- Ability to lift, move, or assist residents up to 50 lbs with support.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
