Job Details – Med/Tele/Peds RN Department Overview:
This is a combined Med Surg/Peds unit (no ICU onsite). The unit occasionally admits higher-acuity Tele or ICU-level patients but RNs will never be asked to work outside their scope of practice. Position Details:

Manager interview required Beds: 25 (average census 12–14) Ratios:
Days: 1:4–5 Nights: 1:5–6 Critical patients: 1:1 or 1:2 Common Patient Types:
Pediatric to geriatric; respiratory and infectious illnesses, GI, ETOH withdrawal, liver disease, AKI, DM/DKA, rehab/swingbed, and social admits Drips Managed:
Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, Heparin, Aminophylline, Magnesium, Potassium, Albumin, and blood products Support Staff: 1 aide per 12 patients; house supervisor/coordinator available (no dedicated charge RN per shift) Tele Monitoring: RNs read and interpret their own strips (no monitor techs) RT Equipment:
Bipap, Vent, Glidescope, Heated high flow, Bubble CPAP, standard O2 devices Scheduling & Requirements:

7a–7p, 7p–7a, rotating days/nights (no guaranteed block) Weekends:
