Eventide-Lake Country Manor is currently looking for a part-time Universal Worker (CMAI and C.N.A) to work every other weekend (16 hours per pay period) with a holiday rotation. The shift hours are 7am - 3pm.

• The Universal Worker provides safe, quality personal care assistance to tenants.
• Performs cleaning, laundry, and planning and implementation of activity program duties.
• Assists with ADLs – bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Assists residents in transferring in and/or out of bed.
• Assists residents with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
• Observes and/or assists with medications, ordinarily self-administered. May give oral, trans-dermal patches, eye drops, topical ointments and suppositories under the direction of the nurse.
• Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
• Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake.
• Performs blood sugar testing and documents results.
• Provides residents with emotional support and mental alertness.
• Socializes with residents; listens, converses and participates in appropriate activities (e.g., reading mail, writing letters).
• Gives guidance, redirection and re-orientation as needed.
• Develops a rapport with residents and families to understand residents’ needs and interests.
• Documents in resident records as instructed and in a timely manner.
• Participates in the development, implementation and review of resident’s plan of care.
• Recognizes and reports significant changes in the resident’s health, behavior, or general appearance to the nurse.
• Complies with infection control policies and procedures.
• Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy.
• P romptly reports any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential for vulnerable adult concerns to supervisor.
• Reviews communication notes at the start of each shift to identify changes that may have occurred.
• Other tasks as assigned or instructed by a licensed nurse.

• Ideal Candidate
• Requires a current North Dakota CMAI and C.N.A license. (Medication Aide I training will be provided if not licensed; CNA training may be provided).

• Cleaning of apartments, service areas and common areas.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold personal clothing and linens.
• Meal preparation.
• Re-stocking of supplies.
• Assist with serving meals in dining room.
• Plan, implement and participate in activity programs for residents with varying levels of physical and mental abilities to maintain quality of life, including outings for residents, apartment visits, tours and activities with Eventide affiliates.
• Pet care per policy.
