Universal Worker​/CNA - PM Shift

Universal Worker/CNA – Full-Time PM Shift (2 p – 10:30 p)

Eventide Heartland (Courts) Care Center is looking for a Full‑Time Universal Worker/CNA to work the PM shift (2 p – 10:30 p). The position works 64 hours per pay period, includes every other weekend and holiday rotations, and will be based at our Assisted Living facility.

• Assist tenants with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
• Observe and assist with medications that may have been ordinarily self‑administered; administer oral, trans‑dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of a nurse.
• Take and record vital signs—temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight.
• Provide adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
• Perform blood sugar testing and document results.
• Offer emotional and cognitive support, socializing, and companionship.
• Guide, redirect, and re‑orient tenants as needed.
• Develop rapport with tenants and families, understanding their needs and interests.
• Document in tenant records promptly and as instructed.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of tenants’ plans of care.
• Recognize and report significant changes in health, behavior, or appearance to the nurse.
• Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
• Recognize emergencies and carry out procedures per policy.
• Report any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential vulnerabilities.
• Review communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes.
• Clean apartments, service areas, and common areas.
• Wash, dry, and fold personal clothing and linens; restock supplies as needed.
• Assist with serving meals in the dining room.
• Perform pet care per policy.

• Must have a current ND CNA license or be able to obtain one upon hire.

Estimated hourly pay range: $18 – $19.62, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Evening shift differential of $2 per hour. Shift premiums and differentials are also available for select positions.
