Manager Regulatory Affairs Biocides – Natural scientist (m/f/d)
spectra is a young and independent consulting company for the chemical and biocidal industry. Our client base ranges from small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) to global players. We are the 360° project partner for developing integrated and tailored‑to‑needs strategies for the authorisation of biocidal active substances and products in the European Union.
We are looking for a full‑time or part‑time, permanent contract Manager Regulatory Affairs Biocides – Natural scientist (m/f/d).
Role & Responsibility- Active participation in regulatory projects on European level.
- Preparation and defence of biocidal active substance and product dossiers.
- Characterisation of biocidal active substances and products with respect to identity, analytical and physical‑chemical properties, efficacy as well as (eco) toxicological properties.
- Data and information management.
- Performance of human health or environmental exposure and risk assessments.
- Development of integrated testing strategies, study planning and monitoring in close contact with clients and CROs.
- Project management and communication with clients and European authorities.
- Continuous growth and tackling new challenges.
- University degree (M.Sc., preferably PhD) in life sciences or environmental sciences such as biology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, food chemistry, pharmacy, toxicology, ecotoxicology or related scientific discipline.
- 2‑3 years of experience with biocides (Regulation (EU) No 528/2012), (eco) toxicology, exposure and risk assessments, or related field.
- Strong scientific background combined with the ability to think out of the box.
- Fluent in English and German with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Positive, self‑motivated and well‑organised team‑player.
- Hands‑on personality with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
