We are looking to fill the following position for the Summer Semester 2026 at the
CLIC - CENTER FOR LANGUAGES AND INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION
Freelance Lecturer in Professional EnglishThe salary is based on the remuneration rates of the state of Baden-Württemberg and the RWU remuneration guidelines. CLIC is the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication, the language center of the RWU.
Your responsibilities will include the following activities:- Face-to-face independent teaching at the RWU (the Syllabus is provided)
- Carrying out all aspects of the examination criteria e.g. correcting and grading
Teaching days are expected to be Monday or Tuesday and/or Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. beginning in March.
Your requirements:- A relevant university degree
- Pedagogical skills and interest in the practice-oriented teaching of course content
- Enjoyment of teaching and working with people
A teaching assignment is a public-legal employment relationship in accordance with Section 56 of the Baden-Württemberg State Higher Education Act. Your educational background, skills, and professional achievements must correspond to the intended area of responsibility. As a freelance lecturer, you will perform your duties independently. In total, you may not teach more than 240 hours per year (equivalent to 8 hours per week during the semester) at institutions in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The willingness to use our RWU tools (e.g., LSF, MOODLE, the RWU-email address) and the opportunity to participate in lecturer meetings are intended to support you as a lecturer.
