Responsibilities- Perform driving duties and miscellaneous clerical tasks
- Review daily schedule and assist fellow drivers when possible
- Drive to and from scheduled destinations
- Notify staff and clients if running late
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Contact clients and agency in case of delays using company phone
- Maintain courteous interactions with clients, visitors, and staff
- Adhere to speed limits and Michigan traffic laws
- Assist clients in and out of the vehicle
- Operate wheelchair lifts and secure mobility devices
- Check and maintain vehicle fluids and cleanliness
- Provide weekly reports to supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
- At least 1 year of passenger transportation experience
- Ability to operate a wheelchair lift
- No more than one moving violation in the past 12 months
- No recent DUI or impaired driving offenses
- Valid Michigan Driver's License with no recent suspensions or revocations
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with individuals with mental or physical limitations
- Safe driving in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills
- Discretion and judgment in handling sensitive matters
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Initiative and forward-thinking
- Clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver's License
- Reliable transportation with proof of insurance
