Rocket Limited Partnership has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer I (# SE1
RLP).
Work Location:
1050 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI 48226. Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.
Develop, improve, and maintain internal and external facing software applications. Collaborate in a cross functional technology environment to solve technical issues related to software application and product development. Understand requirements and implement senior engineer designs; provide administration tools and documentation for assigned projects. Participate in design and code reviews, and implement feedback received from senior engineers. Write, test, and debug custom code.
Resolve code production issues. Develop software applications using object-oriented programming languages. Participate in all phases of the software development life-cycle, including software design and testing. Develop code that has acceptable performance and scalability. Follow existing development processes. Maintain ownership of the projects assigned. Receive mentorship from senior engineers to enhance individual skills and performance. Participate in continuous learning activities, such as attending technology conferences, attending courses or researching new innovations in the field.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Plus 3 months of experience in the job offered or 3 months in a related occupation including Software Engineer Intern, Computer/IT Graduate Assistant, or related experience.
- Position requires 3 months of experience with the following tools/technologies/skills: understanding business requirements; using software design patterns; either C#, Java, JavaScript, Type Script, or Progress4GL; design & code reviews; SQL or Oracle.
- 40hrs/week.
