The LCC Electrician, Journeyman will be based at one of three PAE sites in Iraq and serve the Light Construction Crew under the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for performing electrical requirements on construction, remodeling or renovation projects and will report to the LCC Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

DUTIES
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
  • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
  • Install typical industrial, commercial and residential circuitry and general machine circuitry related to construction projects.
  • Install or repair any of a variety of electrical equipment such as PLCs, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment, working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
  • Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Report to and receive assignments, instructions, and directions from the LCC Supervisor.
  • Read and interpret instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
  • Move materials and equipment to work locations and set up work site.
  • Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean‑up activities.
  • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment (PPE).
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Will be asked to work across Trades when Electrical work is not scheduled.

REQUIRED
  • Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
    • Ten (10) years industrial/commercial electrical experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Knowledge and experience regarding occupational hazards of the electrical trade, related safety precautions and considerable skill required for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
    • Knowledge and ability to utilize and reference both NEC and BS Code and apply best practice for project safety and completion.
    • Must be able to be flexible with work schedule.
    • Good organizational, time management and communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
    • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting electrical functions at an overseas facility.
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
