** Compensation**$27.54 - $39.85(Based on Experience)
** Summary
* * We are looking for Maintenance Technicians that is skilled to repair and maintain tools and other equipment associated with installations; perform required routine preventative and predictive maintenance and other related work for the Wastewater Conveyance Team.
** Job Responsibilities
*** Maintain electrical distribution, pumping and mechanical chemical equipment
* Rebuild and dismantle pumps
* Complete repairs of heavy equipment and machinery
* Perform alignments of equipment
* Complete valve repairs
* Perform routine preventative maintenance
* Perform rigging, welding, cutting, machinery alignment
* Complete predictive and preventative maintenance
* Perform plumbing and pipe fitting
* Regularly inspect the working condition and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas
* Replace and repair major equipment and tools
* Collect and analyze process and performance data used to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of wastewater equipment
* Print reading
* Perform tests and report results
* Maintain various records and prepare reports
* Prepare specifications for new equipment
* Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties
* Provide on-the-job training
* Perform work-related duties as assigned
** Required
Education and Experience
** At the time of application, applicant must:
• High School Diploma or GED
* Minimum of six (6) years of experience in completing maintenance or troubleshooting for water or wastewater treatment facilities, industrial facilities, pumping stations, or similar facilities
** AND
* * MWEA (CWEA) Mechanical Technologist Grade 3 Certification
* ** OR** *
* ** MWEA (CWEA) Mechanical Technologist Grade 2 certification
** AND
* * possess one of the following journeymen cards, licenses, or certifications:
Carpenter
** OR
* * Millwright
** OR
* * Plumber
** OR
* * Journeyman licensed or certified in an applicable skilled trade **(must be approved by CEO or designee)****.*
* ** Leadership may in certain circumstances waive requirements based on a combination of education, experience, and certification.
**** Other Requirements
*** Valid Michigan Driver’s License
* Perform shift work which includes all day, afternoon, night, weekend, and holiday assignments
* Must have the ability to work outside in inclement weather

Physical Requirements

perform a variety of laboring tasks involving carrying, stacking, digging, shoveling, hitting, pushing, pulling and other efforts requiring considerable physical strength and stamina.
** Environmental Working Requirements:
** Work is performed in the field or plant environment. Work may be performed in confined spaces, hazardous areas that require respiratory protection and personal protective equipment (PPE), and under slippery and wet conditions
