As an Armed Security Officer - ATM Patrol in Detroit, MI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide clear customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach, bringing a caring, people-first mindset while delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.02 / Hour

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial services location, including the lobby, ATM areas, offices, parking areas and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points, control entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors and/or contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity, loitering and/or suspicious behavior, and promptly report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, including unsecured doors, broken locks, malfunctioning cameras and/or lighting issues.
• Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports and shift handoff notes with clear and accurate details.
• Operate assigned security-related equipment, which may include radios, CCTV and/or access control systems, and notify supervision of issues.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed, following site protocols and Allied Universal direction.
• Maintain compliance with armed post requirements, including carrying authorized equipment as assigned and following use of force and escalation guidelines.

• A minimum of 2 years of security experience is required.
• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
