Security Officer - Unarmed Shift - West Bloomfield

Under general supervision, monitors Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect persons and property associated with Henry Ford Health against injury or loss. Directs visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations and intervenes to prevent and control disturbances. Keeps relevant parties informed of activities, events, and incidents. Summons assistance as necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Preference given to candidates with hospital/healthcare security experience.
• OR prior law enforcement experience (local, state, county, federal).
• OR four or more years of military experience with honorable discharge. May require proficiency with intermediate weapons.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Valid, unexpired Michigan operator's license.
• Completion of state minimum training certification and testing requirements.
• Maintain annual training and testing compliance.
