Role Summary
Hypo Para Clinical Specialist is a field-based sales role supporting Ascendis Pharma's endocrinology and rare disease programs. The specialist engages with customers to provide product knowledge, drives sales performance, develops territory business plans, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure compliant, ethical execution and access for patients. The role requires credentialing, travel, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Use your product knowledge to engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions based on customer’s needs in a compliant and ethical manner
- Drive outstanding sales performance that ensures sales forecasts are met or exceeded
- Effectively use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations
- Maintain understanding of local market, practice structures, business models, and key influencers; routinely share such information with relevant Ascendis stakeholders
- Work with appropriate customers and accounts to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, network structure, customer needs and identify business opportunities
- Can effectively and routinely use a variety of analytical tools to understand and evaluate the business to best determine how to accomplish sales objectives and apply appropriate resources in an effective and ethical manner
- Work with leaders to develop a business plan that ensures achievement of all goals and delivery on all sales objectives; also understand formulary approvals and other opportunities and how they fit into the effective implementation of the business plan
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver appropriate resources and pull-through within the territory
- Demonstrate administrative excellence to ensure competent management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives responses, sample and expense reporting and other administrative items

5+ years of previous sales experience in a specialty sales environment - Preferred:
Rare disease and injectable experience; adult endocrinology disease state experience - Required:
Ability to work in ambiguous, changing environment - Preferred:

Experience working with complex distribution system and HUB services to ensure smooth customer experience - Required:
Proven history of strong performance - Preferred:
Experience in a new product launch environment - Preferred:
Demonstrated experience working with patient services in a distribution HUB and specialty pharmacies - Required:
Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics - Required:
Proven ability to collaborate with peers and across functions - Required:
Experience working in a specialty drug (rare/orphan disease) environment to address customer and patient needs in a compliant way - Required:
Demonstrated ability to develop a successful business plan based on customer and patient needs - Required:
Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and diagnose performance issues - Required:
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information effectively in a highly adaptable, ethical manner - Required:
Ability to meet all credentialing requirements at all times - Required:
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
