We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Sales Manager to lead and grow our Foot & Ankle medical device presence in the Detroit metropolitan market. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with deep experience supporting orthopedic foot & ankle surgeons, delivering value in both the operating room and the clinic.
This position blends strategic territory management, surgeon partnership, case coverage, and revenue growth leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a defined Detroit-area sales territory focused on Foot & Ankle specialists
- Build strong, long-term relationships with orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists, OR staff, and hospital administrators
- Provide in-service training and intraoperative case support for foot & ankle procedures
- Drive revenue growth, market penetration, and surgeon adoption of products
- Execute territory business plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies
- Identify and onboard new surgeon accounts while expanding existing relationships
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to support launches and initiatives
- Maintain detailed CRM records and comply with all regulatory and compliance standards
- Serve as a trusted clinical and business partner to customers
- 3+ years of orthopedic or medical device sales experience (Foot & Ankle strongly preferred)
- Proven success selling in the operating room environment
- Existing relationships within the Detroit / Southeast Michigan orthopedic market preferred
- Strong understanding of foot & ankle anatomy, procedures, and surgical workflows
- Demonstrated ability to grow a territory and close complex sales
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
- Willingness to travel locally and provide after-hours case coverage as needed
