Host - Kamper's Rooftop

Book Tower and Method Hospitality have welcomed a series of new food and beverage concepts to the growing scene in downtown Detroit. One of those outlets, Kamper’s Rooftop, is looking for a skilled and passionate Host to join their team!

evokes the spirit of Barcelona’s charming cafes within the bustling heart of downtown Detroit. Perched atop the 14th floor of the iconic Book Tower, it pays homage to the building’s visionary architect while offering traditional Basque tapas, pintxos, an elevated wine and cocktail experience, and expansive skyline views.

• Strong, upbeat and positive personality
• Upon arriving, the host should look through the day’s reservations and clock any special notes, ironing out plans to accommodate guest needs/celebrations
• The ability to communicate with management and Chefs
• Maintain proper phone etiquette, following established protocols
• Keep an organized host stand, clean and tidy as necessary
• Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
• Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment

• Knowledge of both classic and current food and beverage trends
• Minimum 1-2 years of service experience in an upscale setting
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic

• The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight to 10 hours per day.
• Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
