Overview
- Under supervision, assists the Supervisor - Bioresources and Leader - Bioresources in providing skilled husbandry and associated animal care services to laboratory animals used in research.
- Under supervision, acts as a resource for scientific and organizational matters related to the breeding of rodents.
- Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of routine tasks incident to the care, feeding, and maintenance of various breeding colonies.
- Associates Degree or higher in related field with two (2) years of related animal experience.
- OR
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. with three (3) years of related animal experience.
- CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES
REQUIRED:
AALAS LAT certification required within six (6) months of eligibility. - Possession and maintenance of a valid Michigan vehicle operator's license and satisfactory driving records.
