Job Summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg for a nursing job in Detroit, Michigan. The position is ongoing, staff RN, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts. Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus (based on experience).

• Lead and coordinate patient care activities for a group of patients and their families.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other health‑care providers.
• Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
• Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members.

• Apply independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members, including ancillary and support services.
• Serve as a member of the Patient Care Services Team, ensuring satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team.
• Teach and supervise nursing staff.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
