Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant | Detroit | Cardiac Cath Lab

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-10hr shifts

Henry Ford Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. This role focuses on the evaluation and management of interventional cardiology patients presenting to the Cath Lab for procedures. The APP will see pre/post-procedure patients, round with attending physicians and fellows for consults and patient progress, enter orders, and collaborate closely with the physician team to support patient management for both inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiology procedures, helping ensure coordinated, high-quality care throughout the procedural and recovery process.

Employment contingent upon credentialing and completion of Employee Health screening per HFHS policy.

• NP or PA graduate from an accredited program
• Current (or in-process) Michigan licensure
• National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
• BLS required; DEA required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)
• 1-year critical care/ED experience as an APP preferred, cardiology/procedural considered

• Physician Assistant:
  Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
• Nurse Practitioner:
  Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required).

• PA:
  Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• NP:
  National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required (may be obtained after hire)

• PA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
• NP: DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs do not hold a Michigan CSL and will use their Michigan license number during the application process
