Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Private Home Care

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Private Home Care

This isn’t facility-based care.

This isn’t juggling multiple patients per shift.

As a Weekend Home Care LPN, you’ll provide one-on-one, high-quality care in a private home setting. You’ll have the time and focus to deliver thoughtful, hands-on nursing care — without the chaos of hospital floors or long-term care ratios.

This is consistent, relationship-based nursing with a predictable weekend schedule.

Schedule
  • Friday: 8:00am–8:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am–8:00pm
  • Sunday: 8:00am–8:00pm
  • 36 hours per week

A set weekend schedule means you know exactly when you’re working — and when you’re off.

Compensation

Consistent hours. No rotating shifts.

What Your Days Look Like

You’ll provide skilled nursing care directly in the home environment, including:

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
  • Educating patients and families on care plans and safety
  • Coordinating with physicians and other providers
  • Documenting care accurately in the EHR
  • Supporting independence, safety, and dignity

This is hands-on, meaningful care where your presence truly matters.

As part of Health Bar, you’ll have access to:

  • Direct access to a clinical provider for you, your spouse, and dependents
  • Discounted care through Health Bar’s healthcare network
  • Medical insurance (with HSA option)
  • Up to 4 weeks PTO
  • Unlimited unpaid time off
  • Biannual profit sharing
  • 401(k)
  • Short- and long-term disability & life insurance
  • Licensure and certification renewal support
This Role Is a Great Fit If…

You’re an experienced LPN who values relationship-based care, prefers focused one-on-one patient time, and wants a steady weekend schedule without facility-level stress.

The (Required) Qualifications

We’d love to welcome everyone — but to practice safely and legally, we do need:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active, unrestricted State of Michigan LPN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to provide hands-on care in a home setting. Duties include standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, positioning, and assisting with mobility and activities of daily living.

Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to use proper body mechanics and safety techniques
  • Visual and auditory acuity for patient assessment and communication
  • Ability to operate clinical tools and computer systems
  • Reliable transportation for occasional travel (you will not transport clients)
