The Nurse Extern II (NE II) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities.

• The NE II is assigned to work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and NE II skills and abilities.
• The NE II will report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
• The Nurse Extern II will assist with providing patient care such as ADLs, vitals, ambulation and other duties within the scope of patient care tech or equivalent.
• The assigned RN instructs and mentors the Nurse Extern II in the assigned clinical area and provides feedback on an ongoing basis.

Minimum Qualifications – Applicants can apply starting 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.
