What Will Your Responsibilities Be?- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients.
- Perform routine, annual, and problem-focused physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Prescribe medications and counsel patients and caregivers on proper use and potential side effects.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work, imaging, and other assessments.
- Educate patients and parents/guardians on disease prevention, wellness, and healthy behaviors.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for complex or specialized cases.
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists when conditions exceed scope of practice.
- Perform primary care procedures including immunizations, suturing, splinting, wound care, and cultures.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
- Maintain regular and routine onsite attendance.
Education & Licensure
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Valid Michigan Registered Nurse License
- Pediatric Nurse Certification Board (PNCB)
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Pediatric experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of pediatric diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
