The Nurse Extern II (NE II) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi‑skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The NE II works under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and NE II skills and abilities. The NE II reports all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse and assists with providing patient care such as ADLS, vitals, ambulation and other duties within the scope of a patient care tech or equivalent.

• Assist with patient care activities including ADLS, vitals, ambulation, and other duties within the scope of patient care tech or equivalent.
• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and NE II skills and abilities.
• Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
• Receive ongoing instruction, mentoring, and feedback from the assigned registered nurse.
• Be a member of the patient care services team, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment for patients.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants can apply starting 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.
