Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory Gastroenterology Endoscopy FT - Detroit

Shift & Schedule
:
Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 10‑hour shifts (9 am–7:30 pm); 1 Saturday every 4–5 weeks. On‑call requirement:
Saturday & Sunday every 4–5 weeks (usually 8 am–4 pm) and holiday on‑call once per year. Must arrive within 1 hour of being called. Orientation Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Candidate Preferences

• 1–2 years of recent nursing experience in inpatient or ambulatory setting
• Pre‑/Post‑/Procedural experience a plus
• Strong IV skills preferred
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced endoscopy unit; mainly inpatient & outpatient procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver and document care, supervise, and teach patients and families
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health‑care team
• Participate in problem solving for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions

Qualifications – Internal

BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services and effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensure Required

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
