Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator; RN - Burn Unit

Clinical Coordinator – Nursing – Night Shift – Detroit, MI

Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus, based on relevant experience. Children’s Hospital of Michigan is an international leader in pediatric and adolescent medicine. The emergency department is a Level 1 pediatric trauma center and a dedicated pediatric burn center.

• Lead and support the nursing staff on night shift, ensuring adequate nurse‑patient ratio and effective staffing.
• Assist with coordination of patient care, scheduling, and prioritization of clinical tasks.
• Facilitate shared decision‑making among staff and improve unit throughput to reduce length of stay.
• Plan, develop, and deliver in‑service programs to maintain competence and support professional growth of nursing personnel.
• Participate in development and review of policies, procedures, and standards for the department.
• Assist with department process improvement, peer review, and continuous quality initiatives.
• Provide input into nursing staff performance appraisals and support staff educational requirements.

• Associates Degree/Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of Michigan.
• One to two years of progressively responsible nursing experience with evidence of increasing leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate, and facilitate processes.
• Minimum Level 6 of the Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria (internal candidates preferred).
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
