- Ambulatory OBGYN (Part Time with Part Time Benefits) Days-Detroit

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and families.
• Effectively communicate with the health care team and demonstrate clinical competence.
• May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position; work independently and in collaboration with the principal investigator when appropriate.
• Manage the in-basket, complete patient encounters via the RN triage line, in-person visits for incision checks, blood pressure evaluations, and pre-surgical teachings.

Hours: 32 hours a week scheduled between 8:30-5. Requires one half Saturday (3-4 times a year) for a half clinic on the third Saturday of the month, split amongst all staff RNs.

Education/Experience Required

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
• Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
• Preferred experience in the specialty.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• L&D experience required.
• Preferred in-basket experience.
• GYN experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
• Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard (e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse).
