Overview

Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory Gastroenterology Endoscopy - Full Time, Detroit. Shift: Day, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am – 7:30 pm, 10 hour shifts. 1 Saturday every 4–5 weeks. On-call requirements:
Saturday & Sunday every 4–5 weeks (generally 8:00 am – 4:00 pm); holiday on-call generally once per year. Orientation:
Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Participates in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

This role includes inpatient and outpatient procedures in a fast-paced endoscopy unit.

Education and experience requirements below.

BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
