School Nursing in Detroit (Licensed Practical Nursing)

Job Type: Full‑time, Part‑time, or PRN (Start ASAP or upon assignment)

Schedule:

PRN minimum 2 days per week (Mon‑Fri) 7 am‑4 pm

• Provide medication to students following individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with support staff to determine assignments that fit nurse comfort and preferences.
• Manage seizure precautions, G‑tube, tracheostomy care, diabetic management, catheterization, and asthma care (training provided).
• Work directly with pediatric patients in school settings.

• MI State LP Nursing License
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• Current negative TB result
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience

• Prolonged standing
• Repositioning
• Support ambulating
• Lifting up to 60 lbs
• Working around small children (high‑energy activity)
• Specific requirements reviewed during interview
