Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator (RN) – Hemodialysis

The Clinical Coordinator assumes shift responsibilities for the care delivery team. The role supports staffing and care coordination, prioritizes and evaluates nursing care, contributes to process improvement, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to resolve unit- and system-level issues. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a clinical resource, participates in staff performance appraisals, staff education, and policy development, working under the direction of the Administrative Director and/or Clinical Manager.
Responsibilities- Act as a clinical resource for nursing personnel and assist in planning and facilitating staff meetings and development.
- Collaborate with the manager to monitor scheduling and maintain adequate nurse‑patient ratios on each shift.
- Facilitate shared decision‑making among staff and manage unit throughput to improve length of stay.
- Coordinate and provide in‑service programs to maintain or enhance staff competence.
- Assist with interview, selection, retention, mentoring, and evaluation of staff.
- Participate in the development of department policies, procedures, and standards.
- Support department process improvement and peer review activities.
- Associate’s degree or diploma required; BSN preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
- One to two years of progressively responsible experience with evidence of increasing leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate to others, and facilitate processes.
- Minimum Level 6 of the Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria (preferred for internal candidates).
- BLS required; ACLS preferred.
