OverviewHarborview Medical Center Inpatient Neurology APP (ARNP; Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant). This opening is for a 100% FTE
, day shift position with weekend and holiday coverage
, no calls, and potential for night coverage in the future. A $10,000 Recruitment Incentive/Sign-On Bonus is available for eligible new employees joining UW Medicine.
- The APP provides clinical expertise to patients and their families, is a resource person for health care providers, and participates in research and teaching programs.
- Work is performed 7 days a week with general independence and decision-making responsibility under the general guidance of the attending physicians, chief resident and department Nurse Manager.
- Follow guidelines including general policy procedures and practice guidelines established by the department and Harborview Medical Center, as well as appropriate professional and technical manuals.
- Collaborate as part of UW Medicine with integrity and compassion to support a respectful and welcoming environment for patients, families, students and colleagues.
- Nurse Practitioner:
Masters or Doctorate Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing;
Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges;
National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. - Physician Assistant:
Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington;
National certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA). - BLS/ACLS certification required.
- Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medical Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.
