SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Grants and Foundation Relations (GFR), the Sr. Grant Coordinator is responsible for tracking 50+ philanthropic grants and $40M+ in commitments annually. This position has primary responsibility for post-award activities and coordinating internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of progress reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sr. Grant Coordinator is responsible for:

* Tracking financial and progress report deadlines, working collaboratively with project leads to complete, package, and submit all necessary grant reports and materials.

* Maintaining access to and working within multiple grant portals, whether it is for city, state, or federal grants or private and corporate foundations.

* Establishing new funds, tracking payments, and updating Raiser's Edge and Asana databases as appropriate.

* Reviewing accounting reports and regularly communicating with project leads to ensure grant spending is on track. The position is responsible for identifying and escalating to supervisor when gaps or delays occur in the timely management of awards.

* Identifying opportunities for additional stewardship of foundation, corporate, and public funders outside of grant requirements.

* Ensuring that activities are planned and completed through collaborative teamwork within the Development Office. As a team member, this position supports the overall annual philanthropic system goal of $100+ million.

* Maintaining and enhancing professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.

* Performing other responsibilities or assignments as needed including team administrative functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of Bachelor's degree from a four-year college with two or more years' experience in grant or project management. A successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented, as well as skilled in working across multiple departments to complete all grant and coordination requirements.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

* Must be proficient in Excel. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge, Asana and/or other project management software is a plus.

* Has experience creating or reviewing budgets. Experience reviewing accounting reports is a plus.

* Has strong communication skills and capacity to engage HFH executive and medical group leadership, administrators, development peers, as well as foundation, corporate/corporate foundation, and public funding representatives.

* Demonstrated ability to conceptualize project outcomes, skillfully question inconsistencies, and develop professionally packaged use-of-funds reports and stewardship documents.

* Self-directed, meets deadlines, manages time and tasks effectively, desires to work in a team environment, is guided by the mission and works from a compelling client/customer service orientation.
