The Communications Specialist is responsible for writing and editing projects from concept to publication, meeting deadlines and quality standards; collaborating with attorneys and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership; developing and executing a comprehensive calendar aligned with firm initiatives and industry trends; drafting compelling and accurate content for external and internal communications; and evaluating and implementing AI-powered tools to enhance editorial efficiency while maintaining human oversight.
Responsibilities- Write and edit projects from concept to publication, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with attorneys and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership pieces.
- Work with firm teams to develop and execute a comprehensive communications calendar aligned with firm initiatives and industry trends.
- Draft compelling and accurate content for external and internal communications.
- Evaluate and implement AI-powered tools to enhance editorial efficiency while maintaining human oversight.
- Five+ years of relevant experience in marketing or communications in the professional services industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Legal industry knowledge strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, effective communication, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities with the ability to identify marketing opportunities.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- This is a hybrid position.
- Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually, based on full-time work schedule.
- Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
