DescriptionAs a Marketing Technology Specialist, you will report to the Director of Business Development and Marketing. Strong candidates will have professional services marketing experience, experience using or administering CRM systems in a professional services setting, and a strong aptitude for learning and evaluating new technologies.
You will also participate in the selection, implementation, and application of various technologies to support the Firm’s marketing and business development efforts. Technologies supported by the Marketing Technology Specialist will include, but not be limited to, CRM/ERM systems, external e-mail services, graphics programs, AI-based marketing tools, research and communications tools and services, and the Firm web site.
You will directly work with individual attorneys, practice groups, and Firm committees, as necessary and suggest ways to improve internal processes and increase the effectiveness and adoption of marketing technologies. Participate in developing and presenting internal training programs relevant to BD and marketing technology. Maintain good working relationships with all Firm personnel. Supports other Firm BD and marketing projects and initiatives as necessary and preserve the confidentiality of client and Firm information.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the selection, configuration, and implementation of marketing technology platforms. Monitor trends in legal marketing technology. Identify, evaluate and recommend new technologies that will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our BD and Marketing activities.
- Serve as the lead administrator of the Firm’s CRM system.
- Develop superior proficiency in the use and configuration of the CRM system and serve as an internal resource for the BD and Marketing Team and other internal groups on best practices for the use and configuration of the CRM system, including creating and maintaining marketing publications, distribution lists, and e‑mail templates, tracking and reporting event RSVPs, and tracking relevant metrics such as click‑throughs, rejected or invalid email addresses, unsubscribes, etc.
- Oversee the data steward process and act as a primary liaison between external CRM vendors and service providers including outsourced data stewards, trainers, integrators, etc.
- Coordinate with the IT team and vendors to resolve technical issues and perform upgrades and maintenance to the CRM and other marketing technology platforms.
- Assist with updates to the Firm web sites and intranet. Recommend updates and improvements to enhance the Firm’s web presence. Assure the accuracy of content posted on the Firm web site.
- Support digital and social media marketing effort; suggest ways to improve and increase social media audience engagement.
- Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure that external communications are consistent with Firm standards for quality and branding.
- Maintain the confidentiality of client and Firm information.
- A four‑year degree in marketing, communications, or a technology‑related field OR a four‑year degree in an unrelated field in conjunction with relevant work experience (including cooperative education and internship experience) is required.
- A minimum of three years of prior work experience (including relevant co‑op and internship experience) in a professional services marketing, business development,
and/or information technology role involving the use and maintenance of CRM systems and other marketing technologies. Prior law firm experience is preferred. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform complex and repetitive tasks with efficiency and accuracy.

- Strong computer skills and experience including Microsoft Suite, CRM systems (particularly Intapp Dealcloud), Outlook, Adobe Suite, web‑based email systems, and web content management systems (particularly Word Press).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them on time, including the ability to balance long‑term projects with day‑to‑day tasks.
- Ability to proofread written materials for grammatical and spelling errors.
- Ability to work when necessary, with occasional local travel, to perform the essential duties of the position.
