Job Description:
- The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet tight tolerances and specifications.
- This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (vertical/horizontal mills, lathes and other equipment) according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and process sheets.
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Adjust machines and tooling to maintain tight tolerances and optimal surface finishes.
- Monitor machine operations and perform routine maintenance as required.
- Troubleshoot machine and part issues, escalating to supervision when necessary.
- Move parts safely through production stages and maintain organized work areas.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support process optimization efforts.
- Train apprentices or new operators when required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn new techniques and processes.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Open to working overtime, weekends and flexible shifts as required.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Technical or Trade School Certification preferred. - Previous CNC machining or programming experience preferred.
- Familiarity with milling, turning and precision machining operations.
- Experience in aerospace, steel mill or precision manufacturing environments is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, oil, heat, and moving equipment).
- Must adhere to PPE and all Client safety protocols.
