Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Controls/Electrician – perform repairs/troubleshooting on controls, lasers, servos, photo eyes, and all sensors. Salary: $35.50 plus shift premium and OT over 40 hours.

• Troubleshooting injection molding machines, stamping and assembly presses.
• Fixing issues with proximity switches, photo eyes, sensors, lasers, servos on press‑side equipment.
• Working on Engel and Schuler presses.
• Reading and interpreting diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, and creating sketches if none are available.
• Testing equipment after adjustments, repairs, or replacement of defective parts or systems.
• Setting up and using machine tools to produce or modify necessary components.
• Carrying out regular inspections and performing designated preventative maintenance procedures on utilities, services, buildings, and machinery as directed.
• Performing repairs and/or modifications to buildings and structures as required.

• Experience with Siemens controls.
• Plastic injection molding or stamping machinery experience (a definite asset).
• 3–5 years of experience working on controls‑based equipment.
• Electrical experience.
• Good working knowledge of PLC controls.
• Proficiency with proximity switches, servos, lasers, photo‑eye sensors, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in automated equipment.
• Welding ticket (a definite asset).
• Afternoon or midnight shift with overtime.
