Printing equipment company is seeking a first shift Press Technical Specialist skilled in high quality printing. This is a growth opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a startup. You will help establish a custom piece of printing equipment and lead a second press operator. The on-site position is located in the Detroit area and is a great opportunity to get out of the daily grind of production.

- Sample production, set up and operation of an innovative press and handling preventative maintenance
- Documentation of printing results
- Ensure the proper printing in accordance with specifications
- Examine job orders and monitor quality
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Testing of printed samples including color accuracy and peel testing with peel resistance equipement
- Coordination with R&D team members
- Associates degree preferred (high school degree required)
- At least 5 years hands-on printing experience
- Ability to commute daily to the southern Detroit area
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong color visual acuity, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience using testing equipment such as microscopes, densitometers and peel testers
- Fluent with Microsoft Office and results reporting
- Ability to pass a criminal and credit background check-experience in a highly secure environment a plus
