Eat. Sleep. Lead. Repeat:
Our Sales Director lead, manages and holds their team accountable including Sales Managers and some support sales staff. This position is responsible for providing direction and vision regarding the profitable growth of Imperial Beverage in the east region. We take great pride in choosing leaders who can handle the hard work, think strategically and create solutions, motivate their team to achieve goals, and show a passion for leading and developing others.

Day in the Life
  • Be a positive example of working hard and having fun
  • Lead and manage the assigned team
  • Participate in the development of the organization's plans as a strategic partner regarding impact on growth
  • Build ownership and hold your team accountable
  • Consistently identify department opportunities for improvement and create plans for implementation
  • Direct the development and execution of improvements and growth plans by keeping projects on track
  • Assist in removing barriers for growth
  • Develop annual business and market plans
  • Review profit and loss statements for the region and make necessary adjustments
  • Oversee coordination of special events in region
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and the changing needs of the market
  • Attend all Leadership Development Training that Imperial provides
Qualifications
  • Enjoy a work hard/play hard culture
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Business Administration, Sales and Business Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in management
  • 5+ years' experience with beverage sales and/or Direct Store Delivery (DSD)
  • Knowledge of customers in assigned area
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, and change management skills including the ability to build collaboration and teamwork among the workforce to continually look for opportunities to improve
  • Advanced knowledge of beer, wine and spirits
  • Experience developing and managing projects
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly and efficiently to carry out solutions
  • Must possess superior customer service skills
  • Strong financial and business acumen including an understanding of financial information related to distribution
  • Ability to coordinate processes and work well with various departments
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical skills and numeric ability
  • Reliable cell phone
  • Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license
  • Flexibility to work with varying hours
  • Extensive travel within territory
  • Must live in assigned market
Salary and Benefits

Salary: $107000 - $138000 per year
