Accounts Payable Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee the accounts payable function. This role is responsible for managing AP operations, supervising staff, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate has hands-on AP leadership experience and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment runs
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounts payable staff
• Ensure accurate processing of high-volume invoices, including 2-way and 3-way matching
• Establish and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Oversee vendor relationships and resolve escalated invoice or payment issues
• Review and approve AP journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives within the AP function
• Prepare AP metrics and reporting for management

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of AP best practices and internal controls
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Epicor, or similar)
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
