Purchasing Director – Industrial Leadership & Operational Excellence (North America)

Operating across four major manufacturing sites in the United States and Mexico, our international group stands among the leading innovators in advanced automotive technologies and electronic systems for smart mobility. With a strong focus on growth, sustainability, and technological leadership, the company is strengthening its North American organization through the recruitment of a Purchasing Director to lead its regional procurement strategy and performance.

As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the purchasing vision for the region, driving both strategic and operational results across multiple plants and supply networks. This is a highly visible role designed for a results-oriented leader capable of turning procurement into a core lever of competitiveness and transformation.

Your mission:

Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager and in coordination with global leadership, you will oversee the development and deployment of a unified purchasing strategy across the four industrial sites in North America. You will ensure alignment between business objectives, supplier performance, and long-term value creation through innovation and collaboration.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and execute a multi-site purchasing strategy covering the four industrial locations in the United States and Mexico, optimizing synergies and harmonizing processes across the region.
• Lead and inspire local purchasing teams, promoting a culture of transparency, agility, and cross-functional excellence.
• Drive high-level supplier negotiations and sourcing strategies to secure quality, cost competitiveness, and innovation while embedding sustainability principles into the supply chain.
• Enhance processes and adopt digital tools to improve data visibility, risk management, and real-time decision-making capabilities.
• Act as a strategic contributor within the Site Executive Committee, influencing key decisions across operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment to position purchasing as a central driver of profitability, operational performance, and technology advancement in the region.

Your profile:

With a degree in engineering, supply chain management, or business, you bring extensive experience in procurement leadership within international manufacturing environments, ideally in the automotive or advanced technology sectors. You have managed multi-plant or multi-country scopes and demonstrated the ability to build integrated purchasing organizations combining structure, vision, and performance.

Strong negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and analytical skills define your approach. You are recognized as a trusted leader, capable of uniting teams across borders and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced, evolving business landscape.

Fluency in English is essential;
Spanish proficiency would be a significant advantage for effective communication with Mexican counterparts and regional partners.
