Data Center Move Technician

Overview

This role supports our current Service Delivery Engineers (SDEs) at the Single-Resource Deployment (SRD) Managed Service. The consultant will assist Engineers with lifting and moving hardware equipment at customer data centers.

• 1 position in Illinois
• 1 position in Michigan
• 1 position in Ohio
• 1 position in Missouri

• Show up to customer data centers and assist Engineers with lifting and moving hardware equipment.
• Travel within a 100–200 mile radius; for trips outside 50 miles, possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to have a rental car arranged.
• Unpack and inspect hardware.
• Rack, mount, and position the product and components.
• Install solution‑specific chassis components.
• Move used packaging materials to trash, recycling, or designated areas at the installation site.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• Background in data center hardware installation preferred; goal is to upskill and train for future Service Delivery Engineer roles.
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license for travel beyond 50 miles.

Contract position lasting 1 month based out of Detroit, MI. Fully onsite.

Pay range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour.
