Your Mission:

The Director of Supply Chain Strategy and Optimization will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our supply chain strategy across all facets of the organization. You will lead a cross‑functional team to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and performance enhancements throughout the supply chain network. This role requires a deep understanding of both strategic planning and operational execution, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of innovation.

This position will support the selection of industry-leading route optimization software to enable ongoing improvements across our distribution center network and daily transportation operations—encompassing both delivery routes and backhaul opportunities that minimize non‑revenue mileage. The role will serve as the primary hands‑on owner and user of newly implemented systems, tools, and optimization platforms, responsible for building workflows, designing processes, and managing daily software functions until the team expands.

You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring supply chain efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
  • Optimization Initiatives: Identify and lead process improvements across sourcing, production, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to reduce costs, increase throughput, and improve overall performance.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced analytics, KPIs, and forecasting tools to assess supply chain performance and guide decision‑making for improvements.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Partner with key stakeholders in operations, procurement, IT, and finance to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Change Management: Lead transformation projects aimed at modernizing supply chain systems and processes, focusing on automation, digitization, and best practices.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers and third‑party service providers, optimizing partnerships for mutual benefit and improving procurement processes.
  • Risk Management: Assess potential risks across the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions from supply shortages, geopolitical factors, or other external variables.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Who You Are:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic role.
  • Expertise: Strong experience in supply chain optimization, strategic sourcing, inventory management, logistics, and end‑to‑end supply chain processes.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in supply chain management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Experience with automation and digital supply chain technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge: In‑depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to tackle complex problems, think strategically, and manage change effectively.
  • Global Perspective: Experience managing global supply chains, including vendor relationships, logistics, and geopolitical risks.
